The Paris Boat Show bestows its first ever motor boat design award

Created in partnership with Moteur Boat and Neptune, the Nautic Motor Boat Design Award is the first motor boat design award to be given at the Paris Boat Show. Five finalists were chosen by popular vote on Facebook during the month of September: the Monte Carlo MC 5, the Jeanneau NC 14, the Prestige 450, the Sunseeker Portofino 40 and the Four Winns Horizon 290. The public was also part of the final decision, in parallel with a panel of judges, which was announced on December 13th.

And the winner of the 2013 Nautic Motor Boat Design Award is…the Jeanneau NC 14!

The Jeanneau NC 14 is “an apartment on the water with a terrace and a sea view.” Designed for real life and use as a day or weekend boat, the 14-meter NC 14 adds a new standard of luxury to the Jeanneau NC-series. Available with twin Volvo IPS 400 D4-300 Hp diesel engines or two Volvo IPS 500 D6 with 370 Hp, she is not lacking in get-up-and-go, easily reaching speeds of over 20 knots.

New Concept? The success of the new NC line has made an impact in the world of Jeanneau.

The original driving spirit behind the concept, “an apartment on the water, with a terrace and a sea view,» has been perfectly distilled into the NC 9 and NC 11, resulting in real enthusiasm for these “new” boats.
On the heels of this success, Jeanneau is bringing the concept to the new NC 14, aboard which luxurious elegance and comfort are matched by innovation.
